Tax and Accounting Outsourcing in Chile (2026)

Advantages of Outsourcing Tax and Accounting in Chile

easyco tax and accounting outsourcing in chile

Chile has a well-run but demanding tax system. Every company files every month, invoices electronically and closes the year with sworn statements and an annual return. Outsourcing tax and accounting lets a foreign-owned company stay compliant without building a local finance team.

What a Chilean company must do

  • Keep accounting records under Chilean rules, in Spanish and in Chilean pesos unless the SII authorizes another currency.
  • Issue electronic invoices and record purchases and sales in the SII’s electronic register.
  • File Form 29 every month: VAT (19%) and provisional monthly payments.
  • File the sworn statements in March and the annual income tax return, Form 22, in April.
  • Withhold the Additional Tax on dividends and payments to foreign shareholders and suppliers.
  • Choose and keep the right tax regime: general regime at 27%, or Pro Pyme at 12.5% for 2025 to 2027. See corporate tax in Chile.

Benefits of outsourcing

  • Compliance: filings on time, fewer SII penalties and interest.
  • Cost: no need to hire and train an in-house accounting team from day one.
  • Focus: management time goes to the business, not to deadlines.
  • Reporting: monthly figures your head office can consolidate.
  • Scalability: the service grows with your operations.

Tasks companies usually outsource

  • Bookkeeping and monthly closings.
  • Monthly and annual tax filings.
  • Payroll and social security contributions.
  • Financial statements for shareholders and banks.

How a company is set up in Chile

  1. Choose the company type. Most foreign founders use the SpA.
  2. If you are abroad, sign a power of attorney, apostilled and translated into Spanish, so a person in Chile can act for you.
  3. Sign the incorporation deed before a notary, or form the company online in the Registro de Empresas y Sociedades.
  4. Register the extract in the Commercial Registry and publish it in the Diario Oficial (both are automatic on the online registry).
  5. Obtain the company’s RUT and file the start of activities (inicio de actividades) with the SII.
  6. Bring in the capital and open a corporate bank account.
  7. Set up electronic invoicing, monthly Form 29 filings and payroll.
